Main responsibilities

  • Developing the main product, Contensis CMS, which is used in the health sector, the public sector and the commercial sector.
  • Looking after our Continuous Integration system
  • Worked with the System Infrastructure team to get CI working with their Ansible system to automate deployments
  • Transitioned Zengenti to Git, trained the Development team in Git and defining our branch methodology.
  • Work on helpdesk on a rota basis, helping clients with issues.

Key Achievements:

  • Founded and led a project to make build status visible, using Hue bulbs, to help the team get a physical representation of the build status.
  • Given talks on several occasions, during User Groups and Zengenti’s Rocket Conference to clients on new upcoming features in the product, which also involved fielding questions.

Bespoke Developer


December 2011 – July 2014

Main responsibilities

  • Developed bespoke solutions for clients as part of the Professional Services team.
  • Developed Web Services, Bespoke Controls and Console Applications that work on top, and interact with, existing API’s that are part of the main product Contensis.

  • Lead Developer on Pearson’s Think Future project, which helped to empower learners with their career choices

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of high profile websites
  • Working with majority of clients, including Thomas Cook (Publishing, Neilson, Brochure Store, NoMud and their stock management system), Celtic Manor, Quanticate and an Olympic Sailing Team
  • Implementing websites into HTML/CSS and jQuery
  • Application development in VB.NET/ASP.NET and MSSQL.

  • Development of the Quanticate Helpdesk System, including integration of a payment gateway
  • Implementation of NoMud
  • Changed functionality of Brochure Store from a single brand ownership model to multiple brand ownership, a core functionality change with minimal downtime.

Xtreme Radio

Key achievements:

  • Obtained funding for thousands of pounds of investment for the station per my specification
  • Installed and setup all new equipment
  • Wrote the first iPhone application for a SRA-affiliated Student Radio Station in the UK, gaining headline space on the SRA website, and the Silver Student Radio Award for Best Technical Achievement
  • Produced for Xtreme Radio, to include the Student Radio Chart, a national broadcast throughout the Student Radio Association
  • Created adverts, jingles, promotions, flyers and posters for the station

Sound Engineer

The Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School

Main responsibilities:

  • Setting up and dismantling equipment for rehearsals and events
  • Monitoring levels throughout performances
  • Adding on the fly sound effects to the band vocals during sections of songs

Key achievements:

  • Taking the feed from the mixer, for playback on local radio – recorded by BBC
